CSA 2023 Pickup Location Changes
In 2023 we are prioritizing on-farm CSA pick-ups!
(We do have a limited number of PEAK SEASON CSA shares we are dropping off in Portland.)
After much thought and deliberation, we have decided this is the best way forward for our business and the humans who work here. There were many factors that led to this decision, but ultimately, our hope is to simplify our CSA program and have more control over the care of CSA bouquets on pickup days. We know this will be a disappointment to some of our customers but we truly hope that you will see this as an opportunity to take a trip out to our beautiful farm every week. Picking up at the farm means you will get to see the fields where your flowers are grown and you’ll probably even bump into a farmer or two! On days when you have time for a stroll, you will have access to the lovely brookside walking trails maintained by the Scarborough Land Trust on the property. Transitioning the CSA pickups to the farm is in keeping with the core roots of what it means to be a member of community supported agriculture.
Perks to picking up at the farm:
-
Opportunities to purchase additional bunches of blooms when available.
-
Pickup for Spring and Summer shares will take place over TWO days (Wednesday-Thursday) offering more flexibility to your weekly schedule. Tulip and Peony shares will remain on Thursdays only.
-
CSA shares will be monitored throughout the day to ensure they are kept in water and cool enough. This means longer lasting blooms!
-
Pick up an Old Wells Farm veggie CSA on Thursdays with your flowers.
-
You can enjoy the beauty of the farm and surrounding trails.
-
See how your flowers are grown and meet the folks who grow them.
