2022 SHARES ARE NOW AVAILABLE!
A flower CSA is like a membership or subscription. Each week, you will receive a unique, seasonal, lush flower bouquet at your chosen pickup location. As a CSA member, you are "buying a share" of the farm by making an advance payment which supports the start up costs for our season.
To find out more info about how our CSA works, please read the FAQ below.
FAQ for the Broadturn Farm Flower CSA
What does being a CSA member mean?
We're all in this together! As a CSA member at Broadturn Farm, you agree to support the farm's endeavor to provide local, sustainably grown flowers for the community by investing in our operation in the months when cash flow is the leanest. You offer your support of our farm and your commitment to enjoy its lush flowers by purchasing a season of goodness.
How do I sign up?
Choose which share you want from our Flower CSA shop and then complete the registration and payment online. You will get a automatically generated confirmation email when the purchase is completed. We will be in touch via your provided e-mail, a few weeks before the first pick-up.
When will my 2022 share begin?
Start dates are always dependent on the progress of the season. We will let you know the exact date within a week of our first CSA distribution.
Our estimation for 2022 dates are as follows:
Tulip CSA - May 12th
Spring Bloom CSA- May 11th
Summer Bouquet CSA - June 16th
Fall Flower CSA - August 31st
How can we keep in touch?
You can email email@example.com with any questions or concerns. We will send emails (via mailchimp) with any updates throughout the season. Make sure we are in your contact list so it does not go into your junk folder. Broadturn Farm actively maintains an Instagram feed and a Facebook Page that we regularly update with info about the CSA and other goings on at the farm (do not send any questions via instagram please). Be sure to follow the accounts of your pickup locations if you do not pickup at the farm for any location-specific information.
What if I want to give a share as a gift?
You get a gold star for being AWESOME! There is the option of selecting the share as a gift when you purchase the share in our shop. Optionally, Broadturn Farm will send a physical card to your recipient notifying them of your generous gift. If you'd like your recipient to receive a card at a later date we recommend receiving the card at your own address and sending it out at a date you choose.
I'm going on vacation, can I make up the share another week?
We're sorry, but this is not an option. The planting and harvest season is planned out in advance, along with labor. Consider offering your share to a neighbor or friend on a week when you will be away.
I can't make it for my scheduled WEDNESDAY pick-up. Can I come another day?
If you have chosen to collect your share at one of our partner locations, you will need to stick to agreed upon day and time window for pick-up. Please have a friend pick it up for you (or as a gift). If you have chosen the farm as your pick-up location, we are able to hold your CSA bouquet for one additional day. No need to let us know if you will be one day late picking up at the farm.
I need some extra flowers, is this possible?
Yes! We can always add on to your CSA delivery each week. Just send us an email or give us a call a week prior to your CSA pick-up day and we can make plans to have extra flowers for you. Or place an order for a different day for pick-up at the farm or delivery. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to place your order.
What is that flower that was in my bouquet last week?
Wondering what a certain bloom is? Take a photo, text or email it to us and we'll let you know.
